World Cup 2026 groups & group-stage predictions

All 12 groups of the first 48-team World Cup. Once the fixtures lock, every group match gets a full Bawler model prediction and a free Banker pick — logged before kickoff, settled publicly. Pick a group below.

How the 2026 group stage works

For the first time the World Cup has 48 teams in 12 groups of four (A–L), hosted across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Each team plays the other three in its group once. The top two from every group, plus the eight best third-placed teams, advance to a new round of 32 — so 32 of the 48 sides progress, and even a third-place finish can be enough.

Bawler prices every group match with its bivariate Poisson model (national-team strength anchored on FIFA rankings — see how we model the World Cup). Group-stage games are where double-chance and goals markets often carry the cleanest edge. Follow the free daily picks on the tips page and the running results on the track record.
